It’s rally time. Protest rallies are being organized for Friday March 19th . Have your voice heard by gathering with your fellow patriots outside Representative Sutton’s Akron and Loraine offices from 12:00-2:00. This may be our last chance before the big vote.
Where’s Betty Sutton? – Take me home, country roads.
September 16th, 2009
In this week’s edition of “Where’s Betty” we find our intrepid explorer, Betty Sutton, heading for coal country.

Betty "Keep'n it Green" Sutton to visit Coal Country - West Virginia
Sometimes when I think back on all the great Town- Hall meetings we didn’t have with Congresswoman Betty Sutton, I get a little irritated. But then something like the West Virgina Federation of Democratic Women’s annual meeting brings it all back into perspective. When I see events like this, I step back and try to be more understanding of the representatives new found fame as “The Clunker”.
Congresswoman Betty Sutton is one of the hottest commodities going on the lecture circuit, and it would be wrong for us to expect her to make time for local radio shows, conservative groups, or individual constituents. Betty is a free thinking congressional leader after all, and although she represents the 13th district of Ohio, we must always remember that Betty “The Clunker” Sutton is a representative of everyone.
The West Virginia Federation of Democratic Women will have the annual meeting beginning 2 p.m. Friday and continuing through Sunday at the Weirton Holiday Inn, 350 Three Springs Drive, Weirton. Rep. Betty Sutton, D-Ohio, will be among keynote speakers Saturday. Other speakers include Gov. Joe Manchin; Rep. Alan Mollohan and his wife, Barbara; Secretary of State Natalie Tennant; State Treasurer John Perdue; House Speaker Rick Thompson, and state Sen. Jeff Kessler. Sutton was the key author of the “Cash for Clunkers” program and serves on the House Energy and Commerce Committee. wvgazette.com
For those keeping track, Weirton, WV is nearly 100 miles Southeast of the 13th district’s southern boarder. The travel time alone would be enough for a real Town-hall meeting.
Thanks for everything Betty!
Betty Does Cleveland
September 3rd, 2009
Looking for Betty Sutton? Try Cleveland, Ohio.
Yet another example of why Congresswoman Betty Sutton should not make time for the concerned citizens of the 13th district. As can be clearly seen in this video, the angry mob assembled outside Cleveland’s Crowne Plaza Hotel was out of control. Just look at their signs, all of them covered with vicious hateful messages like: Where’s Betty? and Hands Off Health Care.
I feared for my own safety when one of the hand made signs, allegedly blown by the wind, bumped the back of my head.
The twenty or so patriots who gathered outside Betty Sutton’s event were peaceful and well mannered (as usual). Participants came from all over the 11th and 13th districts.
I found it very encouraging to see the amount of support the protest received from passersby. Even in Cleveland, Ohio the people are awakening to the work of our federal government.
Congresswoman, you can run and hide all you want, but we are not going away.

Betty Sutton Ohio's 11th District Representative
Try as they may, Betty Sutton’s schedulers have found it very difficult to make time for the people of Ohio’s 13th US House district. In fact, the congresswoman’s schedule is so tight that the only way to meet with 13th district constituents is through a tele-town hall.
Fortunately for Betty’s constituents in the 11th district, a window of availability has opened in the congresswoman’s schedule.
US Congresswoman Betty Sutton will be addressing a women’s group at a meeting in downtown Cleveland on Thursday, September 3 from 5pm-7pm.
9.12ers from Akron, Lorain and Cleveland are planning to stop by. You too can join in the fun.

Betty Sutton On Prime Time TV
Betty Sutton sticks her neck out yet again in an upcoming prime time appearance on the Ohio News Network. ONN is planning a 60-minute panel discussion focused on national health care reform and potential implications for Ohio.
“The Heart of Health Care Reform” will air on ONN Sunday, Sept. 6 at 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. and Monday, Sept. 7 at 8 p.m.
According to ONN, the panel will address questions that relate to what they have heard from citizens during the August recess, how this will affect their decisions as they return to Washington, D.C. and their overall outlook and opinions about health care reform. State department officials will also provide a state perspective on how health care reform will affect Ohio.
The politically balanced panel will include: U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH); Congresswoman Mary Jo Kilroy (D-OH 15th); Congressman Zack Space (D-OH 18th); Congresswoman Betty Sutton (D-OH 13th); Mary Jo Hudson, director of the Ohio Department of Insurance; and Douglas Lumpkin, director of the Ohio Department of Job & Family Services.
What is clearly missing from ONN’s list of “distinguished members of the panel” is a single voice representing the majority of Ohioans who are standing firmly against this health care reform.
ONN, put down the Kool-Aid. If you want to be taken seriously as a news source try adding a little diversity and balance to your program.
On the bright side, we found Betty Sutton.

Miss out on Betty’s Tele-Town Hall? No problem, now you can enjoy it in video form. Additional Q/A videos will be added this weekend.

Here it is, the Matthew clip from Betty Sutton’s Tele-Town Hall. Just listen to the way she responds to Matthew and then goes on to avoid answering the Constitution question.
Betty Sutton: Tele-Town Hall – Live
August 26th, 2009
No surprises during Wednesday evening’s Tele-Town Hall. Betty Sutton gave the usual answers and really didn’t provide much to support her position.
My favorite moment came during a call with Matthew of North Ridgeville, Ohio. When Matthew finished his question Betty slips and shows here obvious contempt for the man and his question.
“Are you finished, Matthew?”
Listen to the clip and you’ll hear what I mean. Oh wait, it got better. Betty also skipped past Matthews final question. He asked, “cite the portion of the Constitution that allows the Federal government to force people to buy insurance.”
Oh, Betty. 2010 cannot get here soon enough.

Yeah Baby! This is it!
Sutton Tele-Town Hall 2009
WhooHoo!
Can I just say, I am so proud of Representative Betty Sutton. The representative has really stepped up to the plate by organizing this humongous event. With so many people living in this district, how could she possibly reach out to all of us? Everyone knows, other congressional districts where real town hall meetings have been held are significantly smaller than Ohio’s 13th – in both size and population. As an example: Ohio’s 4th district.
Just when we thought all hope was lost, Betty “The Dastard” Sutton found a way.
“Yeah, baby!”
Now, with the help of Tele-Town Hall LLC Sutton gets all of us in the game.
“Can I hear a, Hell yeah!”
Charge your cell, check your hands free because this is it!
Let’s all put our hands together and give it up for Betty “The Clunker” Sutton.

First the Akron Tea Party and now an open video project that takes your voice to the halls of Congress.
Hats off to the organizers at Summit912 for their tireless work. Their latest project is taking the Tea Party movement to a whole new level. Our representatives may not be interested in meeting with us, but through the group’s YouTube channel they cannot hide from our messages. Summit912 has collected constituent messages for Betty Sutton, Steve LaTourette, Tim Ryan, and John Boccieri!
Face to face meetings are next to impossible with these representatives, this is your chance to make sure they know who you are.
For more information on this project, visit the Summit912 website.
